The part of a story where loose ends are tied up is the resolution. This is the ending that shows how the main problems are solved and what happens to the characters as a result, giving the reader closure after the climax. The other terms describe different moments: conflict is the problem or struggle that drives the plot, tone is the narrator’s attitude toward the subject, and the climax is the peak moment of tension before things calm down in the ending. So when you’re looking for the part that wrap ups the story and explains how things turn out, you’re identifying the resolution.
